Heather Robinson
Graduate Student
Psychological Sciences
Heather grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Philly for her B.A. in Psychology at Haverford College, then stayed after graduating to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked on various research projects ranging from emotion regulation to TMS and decision making to 7T glutamate imaging in aging and in psychosis. From these wide-ranging topics, she was able to sample many different research techniques and gained an appreciation for interdisciplinary research. Heather is so excited to pursue her PhD at the University of Connecticut with advisor Arielle Keller. She is interesting in studying the relationship between cognition and emotion in mood and anxiety disorders, as well as individual differences in brain networks that could help predict mental health outcomes. Outside of the lab, Heather loves cooking, baking, going to coffee shops, dancing, cross stitching, and taking naps with her cat.
